Hahn, Sharie L.

Ms. Hahn is an associate with Newman, Comley, and Ruth and devotes her practice to medical malpractice defense, professional licensing defense, administrative law, and civil litigation.

 

Prior to joining Newman, Comley and Ruth, Ms. Hahn was an assistant attorney general in the governmental affairs division of the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, representing several of the State’s executive agencies. Her practice while at the Attorney General’s Office focused mainly on representing the Missouri State Board of Nursing and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as well as other health licensing Boards. In 2008, she began fulltime as in-house litigation counsel exclusively for the Missouri State Board of Nursing. 

 

Having litigated over 100 professional licensing cases at the Administrative Hearing Commission and in the state circuit courts, Ms. Hahn has extensive experience and understanding of professional licensing and the issues that arise for healthcare professionals and healthcare facilities. She has also assisted in drafting legislation and regulations concerning professional licensing and enforcement.

 

Ms. Hahn graduated with honors from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan with a focus in business law and transactions.

 

She was born and raised in Fredericktown, Missouri in southeast Missouri and is a resident of Jefferson City.
