Charles D. Rubenstein joined Wachtel, Masyr & Missry, LLP's Real Estate Department in 2011 as a partner.
From 1998 through 2010, Mr. Rubenstein was the head transactional attorney and executive vice president of Tarragon Corporation, a New York based publicly traded homebuilding, multifamily and mixed-use development, operating and management company, with offices in five states, while the company experienced tenfold revenue growth to over $1 billion annually. Since leaving Tarragon, Mr. Rubenstein has developed a sophisticated real estate law practice concentrating on the representation of developers and investors in multifamily properties throughout the United States. Prior to joining Tarragon, from 1995 through 1998, Mr. Rubenstein was the general counsel for Simpson Housing Limited Partnership, a large privately held real estate investment company owned by a public employees' retirement fund, specializing in market rate and tax credit multifamily development and acquisitions. From 1983 until 1995 he practiced real estate, securities, project finance and corporate law in several prominent New York City law firms.
Mr. Rubenstein is a 1983 graduate of the NYU School of Law and is admitted to the New York State Bar.
