On August 22, 1972 Governor Wendell Ford appointed me to the position of Hearing Officer for the Workers' Compensation Board. I held this position for approximately five (5) years and heard cases in a nine (9) county area of Western Kentucky.
As my private practice grew, I had to resign from this position. I have represented numerous clients in Workers' Compensation cases for both the Plaintiff and the defense.
1964 - 1967: Captain JAG, United States Air Force, Reese Air Force Base, Texas
Served as Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, Claims Officer and Staff Judge Advocate during tour of duty. Received experience in all aspects of military law and administrative practices including the settlement of airplane crashes.
1963 - 1964: Legal Assistant, Kentucky Department of Labor, Frankfort, KY
Assisted Attorney General's office in the preparation of cases for trial including preparation of briefs; conducted Wage & Hour hearings throughout the State.
