Born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1950, Fredric D. Rubin concentrates his practice in civil, criminal, family law litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). He has handled numerous family law, mediation, criminal and personal injury matters as well as property, casualty, and bad faith insurance company claims. In a number of cases, Mr. Rubin has been selected to serve as plaintiff's arbitrator, defense arbitrator, or as a neutral arbitrator. He has broad litigation and trial experience in state and federal court in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and has tried many cases to verdict. Mr. Rubin has briefed and argued various appellate matters before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. His practice has involved complex matters.

During his seventh year in private practice, Mr. Rubin was accepted into the Academy of Advocacy program, then taught at Villanova Law School, and became a Fellow in 1982. The faculty are prominent practicing attorneys who immerse the participants in rigorous trial simulations. The mission of the Academy is to assist trial lawyers by enhancing their skills and judgment as advocates, and to improve the quality of the litigation process. He has trained extensively in mediation and communication and has been involved in planning and teaching a number of accredited continuing legal education courses in mediation.

Mr. Rubin is a Bar Association approved Mediator and an approved Parent Coordinator in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He has also served as a member of the Northampton Township, Bucks County Youth Aid Panel.

Mr. Rubin feels fortunate in knowing at a very early age his career choice - he knew in 8th grade that he wanted to become a lawyer, having been inspired by a book he read on his father's recommendation. It was about a famous New York City trial lawyer whose persuasive skills were unparalleled. After reading a few more similar books he was hooked. He graduated college in 1972, went directly to law school, graduated in May, 1975, studied for the bar exam that summer, got married in August and was admitted to the bar in October. 1975 was a very good year - he is still in love with his wife and still loves the law.
