I have been married for 24 years to Mariella (Mally) Rone, a Peruvian and the owner of Mally's Salon and Spa in West Mobile. We have a 9-year-old son, Tommy. I was born in Atmore, Alabama and was raised in Atmore and Mobile. I graduated from Theodore High School, the University of South Alabama and Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. I worked hard at various jobs before fulfilling my dream of becoming a lawyer. My work history includes: laborer on a potato shed in Baldwin County; bag-boy/cashier at Delchamp's while in high school; Mobile police officer; produce, frozen food and assistant manager for Winn Dixie; draftsman/piping designer for various engineering firms in the Southeast; and 11 years as a massage therapist at Mally's Salon. I grew-up in a lower-middle-class family. My father, Frank Rone, was an automobile mechanic in Mobile for over 30 years. My upbringing and experience have helped me develop an ability to relate to people from all walks of life.
