Mr. Roemerman has been in the private practice of law since 1977. He has tried many jury and non-jury cases throughout the state of Iowa, in both the state and federal courts. His clients are individuals, insurance companies, labor organizations and businesses. Currently, his work includes litigating and resolving disputes concerning personal injury, insurance coverage, civil rights of employees, public employee civil service rights, and business disputes.
He is active in the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, an invitational organization of plaintiff and defense lawyers limited to 250 members. He is also a member of the Iowa Defense Counsel Association and the Defense Research Institute. He has published various legal articles and frequently speaks at seminars for attorneys and insurance claims adjusters. He is also a published author of fiction.
Mr. Roemerman was born in 1953 in Blakesburg, Iowa. He is a lifelong resident of Iowa. While he was in school, he worked in agriculture and wrote for newspapers. He joined Jim Crawford, Gerald Sullivan and Thomas Read in the practice of law in 1977.
His outside interests include automobile restoration, horseback riding and writing. He is a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and has been active as a leader in the 4-H youth organization. He, his wife, Judy and their two daughters, Jenny and Katie live just outside Cedar Rapids. They frequently host exchange students from the far east.
