Granberry, Jay

Steve was born in Port Arthur, Texas, and grew up primarily in the Houston area. He is the son of an engineer and a homemaker. Steve grew up playing the guitar and is the co-author of a series of guitar instructional videos (now a website on learning to play guitar). Steve attended Houston Baptist University, graduating in 1994 with a B.A. (magna cum laude) in Religion and Political Science. While in College, he served in The United States Marine Corps Reserves. Steve also completed a Masters degree in Interdisciplinary (Environmental) Studies at the University of North Texas. He then attended the University of Texas School of Law, where he served on the Environmental Law Journal, and obtained his JD in 1999. Steve has worked in a number of corporate, government and small firm environments before finding a practice home in The Woodlands.

Steve is a semi-professional guitarist. He regularly appears with his Church Band and performs for mission groups and in other settings from time to time. Steve is married and the father of three girls. He practices Elder Law and Estate Planning and provides consultation on environmental issues in the firm’s commercial bankruptcy cases.
