Terry is a skilled trial lawyer with extensive courtroom and trial experience.  He has   tried over 80 jury trials throughout the state of Arkansas, in both state and federal court.  The majority of his clients’ cases settle out of court and his reputation as a fierce advocate in the courtroom serves to enhance and maximize the compensation and recovery he is able to obtain for them.  Make no mistake, the liability insurance companies are keenly aware of which attorneys have experience presenting cases to juries and will be fully prepared to do so in the event it becomes necessary and those attorneys that do not.  In other words, the lawyer you hire can make a difference in the amount of your recovery and whether your case settles out of court.   

            After earning his law degree from the University of Tulsa, where he was a member of Tulsa Law Journal and Delta Phi Fraternity, Terry accepted an offer to work with some of the best trial lawyers in the state of Arkansas and joined a firm that primarily practiced in the area of insurance defense, which means that he would be hired and paid by various insurance companies to defend all kinds of lawsuits, including those involving catastrophic  injuries, serious trucking and vehicle accidents, underinsured motorist claims, construction and industrial accidents, just to name a few.  His clients included trucking companies, such as J.B. Hunt, Prime, Inc., Conway Transportation and Tyson, and numerous liability insurance companies, like State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, State Auto, Great West and Progressive.  Ultimately, Terry developed a successful insurance defense practice.         

            However, his true passion was a sincere desire to help real people.  As a result, in 2004, Terry left his partnership with a very well respected firm to open a law firm of his own, where the focus was helping people, rather than big corporations and insurance companies.  Terry now uses his skills as a trial lawyer and the experience and knowledge he acquired to tenaciously advance the interests of real people and their families when they have been seriously injured or badly wronged, and to ensure that they receive fair and full compensation for all harm suffered because of the negligent actions of another, including a trucking company or tractor trailer driver; a careless and reckless driver; a nursing home;  careless corporations and construction and electrical companies; and yes, even by an insurance company.

            Terry is no stranger to hard work, as he earned money to go to college in the oil fields of West Texas and as a salesperson for the Southwestern Publishing Company.  After beginning his undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR., Terry completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with special honors.  Terry is currently a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Associations, the American Association for Justice and the Arkansas Bar Association.
