Sarah Riskin is a member of Maslon's Litigation and Labor and Employment Groups. Her litigation practice focuses on products liability, breach of contract, and complex litigation. In her employment practice, Sarah counsels employers to comply with state and federal laws and assists employers in responding to charges filed with administrative agencies. She has advised employers on numerous aspects of employment law, including discrimination, wage and hour law compliance, personnel policy development and review, and discipline and discharge issues. In numerous matters, Sarah has helped clients reach favorable resolutions before engaging in costly litigation.
Sarah received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was a staff member and editor-in-chief of Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice. Sarah also co-founded Raise the Bar, a day of service where members of the University of Minnesota Law School community volunteer in projects throughout the Twin Cities. She has a bachelor's degree in social welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison along with graduate studies in social work at the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to joining Maslon, Sarah was a social work intern with the Guardian ad Litem office in Milwaukee County, and she managed her own photography business.
