Kent Richey's practice involves complex real estate investments, joint ventures, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and real estate finance. He represents real estate funds as well as investment banks, private real estate companies, and other institutional investors with real estate matters.
Kent's clients include the Black Creek Group, Cayuga Lake Fund, Dividend Capital Trust, Dune Real Estate Funds, Five Star Realty Partners, Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Limited (IL&FS), the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds, and SITQ.
He recently represented SITQ in the sale/leaseback of two Manhattan office buildings from Citibank and represented IL&FS in the formation of a real estate private equity fund investing in India.
Kent has more than a decade of experience in the real estate industry, including as general counsel to the Peabody Funds, private real estate funds jointly sponsored by O'Connor Capital Partners and JPMorgan Chase, and as general counsel to Allegro Resorts, an owner/operator of all-inclusive resort hotels controlled by Westbrook Real Estate Partners.
He is a frequent speaker on topics related to real estate private equity.
