Joseph M. Goldhammer. Born at Denver, Colorado in 1947, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude from the University of Colorado in 1969. He attended Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 1973.
Mr. Goldhammer served as a law clerk for Judge Sherman G. Finesilver, United States District Court for the District of Colorado from 1973-1974. He then served as an Assistant Attorney General, State of Colorado, from 1975 until he joined the firm in 1979.
He is past chair of the Colorado Bar Association Labor Law Committee. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Industrial Relations Research Association. He is admitted to practice by the United States Supreme Court, the Colorado Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court in Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is included in the Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White) in the area of labor and employment law.
Mr. Goldhammer is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Comprehensive Course. He also serves as a hearing officer for the Colorado Department of Education in disputes involving the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
He is married and has a daughter and a son. His hobbies are cross country skiing and hiking.
