Carolyn Dohn is a Certified Elder Law Attorney and holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Alabama.
Her practice includes representation of elderly clients and their families in such matters as guardianships and conservatorships, health care decision making, retirement, taxes, financial planning, adult exploitation, estate planning, trusts, probate, trust administration, special needs planning, and end of life planning.
Her practice also emphasizes the areas of business planning, non-profit corporations, and commercial law.
She is a frequent lecturer to both lay and professional organizations regarding elder law issues.
Mrs. Dohn is admitted to practice law in the states of Alabama (1997), Florida (1988), and Mississippi (1981). She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF) and the Gulf Coast Estate Planning Council. She also is a member of the Alabama Bar Association (Taxation Section and Probate and Trust Law Section (officer - 2008-2010)), the Florida Bar Association (Taxation Section), and the Mississippi Bar Association.
She is a consultant to The Exceptional Foundation of Baldwin County, Inc., and other local non-profit organizations, and is a member of the Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyer's Wills for Heroes subcommittee.
