Frederick S. Glassman was born in Chicago in 1968. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University in 1991 and from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1994. While in law school, Mr. Glassman was Comment Editor for the Southern Illinois University law journal and a team writer for the Jessup International Law Moot court team which won the best legal brief award at Midwest Regional competition.
Mr. Glassman was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois in 1994 and spent his first seven years with a prestigious Chicago law firm representing employers and insurance companies in the defense of workers’ compensation cases. In 2001, he joined the litigation team at Schweickert & Ganassin, exclusively representing injured workers before the Illinois Worker’s Compensation Commission and in state and federal courts. Mr. Glassman’s career has been concentrated in workers’ compensation and employment issues. He has represented clients with employment issues before the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, and in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Glassman and his wife, Susan, have two daughters. He contributes time and effort to local charities and was recently elected to serve as the Exalted Ruler for the Oglesby Illinois Elks Club.
