Her practice focuses on the representation of employers in employment litigation and labor arbitrations. Additionally, a substantial part of her practice involves the counseling of employers on federal and state employment law compliance, litigation avoidance, workforce restructuring, restrictive covenants, employment agreements, separation agreements, and release agreements. In addition to her employment litigation and counseling practice, Sandy is active in the labor and employment sections of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. She is a frequent speaker and author on employment law issues at local seminars and bar meetings. She also spoke at the American Bar Association's 2002 annual meeting in Washington D.C. on the evolving issue of the use of genetic information in the workplace. Sandy has authored multiple employment-related articles in a variety of publications, including coauthoring two chapters and supplements to chapters in Texas Employment Law (James Publishing) as well as an article in the ABA's Tort and Insurance Practice Quarterly publication. Sandy has been named as a "Texas Rising Star" by Law & Politics magazine, and she was chosen for membership in the College of the State Bar of Texas based on her extraordinary commitment to continuing legal education.
