David B. Dickenson is a member of the Florida Bar and is certified in real estate by the Florida Bar Board of Certification. David was one of the first to be certified in the State. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1965 with a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. David then attended the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida where he was active in student government, did research and writing in real estate and graduated in 1968 with a Juris Doctor degree.
Mr. Dickenson worked first in Ft. Lauderdale for a short time doing real estate and estate work. In 1969 David became one of the founders of the firm which has been in Boca Raton for over 40 years. At Dickenson, Murphy Rex and Sloan, David specializes in real Estate and Estate work where he does Wills, Trusts and estate Planning and Administration as well as most areas of real estate including contracts, closings and title insurance. Over the years David has closed thousands of transactions, both simple and complex. David has handled hundreds of estates, large and small, and can point to hundreds of happy Personal representatives and beneficiaries. Both closings and estate administrations are handled with the goal of totally satisfactory and pleasant conclusions.
Mr. Dickenson has been and remains active in the community in the areas of education, charitable foundations and historic preservation. David has also been a community bank director and represented local Realtor associations for over twenty years. David and his wife Katharine have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and have five grandchildren. All three of their sons are practicing attorneys in the area. The family has a fishing lodge on the West coast of Florida where they pursue their favorite past-time. Katharine and David have a summer home in Dorset, Vermont and are avid antique collectors.
