Geiss, Virginia A

Jimmy F. Gaylor is a native of North Carolina, born in Johnston County. He has lived in Jacksonville since 1957. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, graduated in 1971 from East Carolina University, and obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. He has practiced law in Jacksonville since his graduation from law school. He is married to the former Marcia Stevenson and they have a daughter and a son.

Mr. Gaylor is licensed to practice in all of the Courts of North Carolina, including the North Carolina Supreme Court, and is certified by that Court as mediator. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina, the United States District Court, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit. He is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina State Bar Association, the Fourth District Bar Association, and the Onslow County Bar Association.

During his career, Mr. Gaylor has concentrated his practice in the area of criminal and civil litigation. From 1995 until 2005, his concentration had been primarily in cases involving personal injury and medical malpractice, and as mediator in the area of negotiated dispute resolution. Since 2005, he has broadened his practice to once again include criminal matters, misdemeanors and felonies, as well as traffic court cases, including driving while impaired tickets and restoration of client's driving privileges.
