Litigation
Dr. Garcia's litigation experience includes representing clients in federal courts beginning with the pre-suit investigation work, pleadings practice and up through expert discovery. He has litigated patent cases, including Hatch-Waxman matters.
Previous Experience
Prior to rejoining RMMS, Dr. Garcia served as Senior Patent Counsel at APP Pharmaceuticals, where, among other things, he managed patent litigation, oversaw patent preparation and prosecution, assisted in the development of ANDA and 505(b)(2) filing strategies, and performed freedom to operate assessments for both generic drug products and medical devices. He also previously served as Assistant Senior Legal Counsel, Patents and Trademarks, for TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc. Prior to attending graduate and law school, Dr. Garcia performed research for Procter & Gamble, where he worked as a synthetic organic chemist, and for the Loyola University Department of Immunology.
