Michael is an associate with Dunlap Fiore, LLC and his practice areas include Construction Law, Corporate Law, Wills and Successions, Transactional work and General Civil Litigation.
Michael obtained his juris doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge in 2008. Upon gradation, Michael worked for the law firm of Myles, Cook & Day where his practice primarily consisted of Real Estate Transactions, Property Disputes, Construction Litigation and other General Civil Litigation. He also served as General Counsel for the Zachary Community School Board. In 2010, Michael joined the Law offices Of James S. Holliday, Jr., APLC in Baton Rouge where he primarily focused on Construction Litigation, Corporate Law, Estate Planning, Successions and General Civil Litigation. He also assisted Mr. Holliday with the 2010 Louisiana Practice Series for Construction law and Corporate law.
Michael is a life long resident of Baton Rouge and attended The Dunham School. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004 with a General Studies Degree focusing on Political Science, Business Administration and Communication Studies. He then completed the Paralegal Studies Program at Louisiana State University in 2004 prior to his enrollment at Southern University Law Center in 2005.
Michael is very involved in the Baton Rouge Community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Forum 35, The Board of Trustees for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge and the Alcohol and Beverage Control Board for East Baton Rouge Parish. Michael is also an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and he currently serves on the Volunteer Committee and the Law Expo Committee. He was the chairman for the 2011 Law Expo. Michael is a member of the Baton Rouge Rotary club where he currently serves as chairman of the Mainstream Committee.
Michael is happily married to his beautiful wife Anne Bennett Platte.
