Mr. Crawford has over 15 years of experience in government and private practice. As a prosecutor for the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Crawford prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases from intake to verdict. Mr.Crawford served as counsel for several major insurance companies before founding Drummond & Crawford, P.C. As a partner at Drummond & Crawford, P.C. Mr. Crawford handled all areas of civil and criminal litigation at the trial and appellate levels in state and federal court as well as administrative proceedings before state and federal entities. Mr. Crawford sat on several Boards of Trustees for various local non-profit organizations and is a Continuing Education instructor in Personal Injury for the Paralegal Studies program at York College, New York.
As a private practice attorney, Mr. Crawford has an abundance of experience in Immigration Law to include deportation and removal proceedings inclusive of post-conviction relief applications, waiver applications, naturalization and appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the federal circuit courts. Additionally, Mr. Crawford specializes in criminal defense ranging from simple misdemeanor charges, including DWI and domestic assault to economic crimes and violent and non-violent felony offenses. Mr. Crawford also represents clients in domestic relations matters pertaining to divorce, including military retirement issues involving service members, custody, visitation, child support and child removal proceedings.
A seasoned litigator in Labor and Employment Law matters pertaining to discrimination and wrongful termination cases, Mr. Crawford has represented management and employees and currently serves as the General Counsel to several non-profit organizations and small businesses in this area as well as business and non-profit formation, corporate governance, contractual agreements and commercial litigation.
Mr. Crawford is an expert in Personal Injury matters, including automobile and premise liability, construction site accidents, wrongful death cases, as well as insurance defense including third party litigation, declaratory judgment actions, no-fault litigation, arbitration and underinsured/uninsured motorist subrogation claims.
Mr. Crawford is a veteran of the United States Army Reserve in which he served in multiple capacities for seventeen years. Mr. Crawford served as an Officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAGC) where he held the position of Trial Counsel for the 4th Legal Support Organization in New York City. Mr. Crawford represented the government in numerous Boards pertaining to the separation of military personnel for misconduct, and provided legal assistance to soldiers deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Mr. Crawford was admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and was the recipient of numerous military awards and decorations for his dedication to service and superior reputation as an attorney within the military legal community.
