Kelli Hanley Crabb is a shareholder and has practiced law at the firm of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus and Wein, P.A. since 1984. Ms. Crabb currently serves as the secretary of the firm and a member of the firm's executive committee.
A South Dakota native, Ms. Crabb graduated from law school at the University of South Dakota in 1981 and was licensed to practice law in the state of South Dakota that year. Ms. Crabb was also awarded a Masters of Business Administration degree at the same time.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Crabb joined the legal department of Fortune 100 company, IBP, Inc., headquartered in Dakota City, Nebraska. While a member of the IBP legal department, Ms. Crabb developed an expertise in employment law, debtor-creditor matters and general business litigation. Ms. Crabb left her employment with IBP in the fall of 1983 when she re-located to Florida.
During her association with the firm, Ms. Crabb has specialized in numerous areas of business litigation, including the representation of both debtors and bankruptcy proceedings, employment law, white collar criminal defense and other business litigation. Ms. Crabb currently is using her litigation expertise in directing the firm's family law practice.
Ms. Crabb is involved in the local legal community. She is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association as well as the Community Law Program, where she is a volunteer attorney accepting pro bono referrals. She is a member of the Kanakaris Inns of Court.
Ms. Crabb has likewise been very active in the St. Petersburg community. She has been a member of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and previously chaired the Tyrone Task Force. She is the past chair of the Board of Directors for The Hospice Foundation of the Florida Suncoast, past member of the Executive Committee and currently serves on the Foundation Board as well as the Hospice Board. She is also a past Board member of Alpha, a New Beginning, Inc. Ms. Crabb is also a member of the local Tiger Bay Club. Ms. Crabb is active in her church, Holy Family Catholic Church, where she is a lector, a member and past president of the Pastoral Council. Ms. Crabb enjoys working with patients as a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
