Victor B. Fischbach: Vic was born and raised near Mellette, South Dakota and finished high school in Rapid City, South Dakota. He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska after majoring in History and English with a bachelor's degree in 1992. He attended law school at the University of South Dakota receiving his law degree from that institution in 1995. Vic practiced law in Mitchell, South Dakota with the law firm of Tinan, Smith and Bucher until accepting a position as deputy State's Attorney for Brown County, South Dakota in 1996. In 2000, Vic was elected Spink County State's Attorney and began his private practice. Vic has continued to serve as Spink County State's Attorney and as a special assistant Attorney General since January 2001. He has been appointed by former Governor Rounds to three terms on the South Dakota Meth Taskforce, was elected to three terms on the South Dakota State's Attorneys Association and Vice-President of that association in 2010. Vic is admitted to practice law in South Dakota and the Federal District Court of South Dakota.
