Steven G. Bardsley is a shareholder with extensive experience as a civil trial lawyer and a practice focused on construction law. He graduated cum laude with Honors in Engineering from Wilkes University in 1988, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering and minor in Physics. For several years, Mr. Bardsley worked as an Engineer for Clayton Environmental Consultants, Inc., conducting investigations of contaminated commercial and industrial properties and recommending, designing, and implementing solutions.
In 1993, Mr. Bardsley received his law degree from Pace University School of Law where he successfully completed the Environmental Law Certificate Program, served as Research and Writing Editor of the Pace Environmental Law Review, was elected Student Representative, and captained the Pace University Rugby Football Club. During law school, Mr. Bardsley worked as a law clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Drawing on both engineering and litigation experience, Mr. Bardsley continues to successfully represent clients in cases brought in numerous state and federal courts and arbitration forums. The cases that he handles range broadly from residential construction disputes and slip and fall personal injury claims to multi-million dollar claims involving design and construction defects, environmental contamination, building collapse, fire, construction delays, catastrophic personal injury, and death.
Mr. Bardsley routinely prepares and negotiates contract documents and counsels clients during projects when problems arise. He also lectures to construction trade organizations and professional societies on a variety of construction-related matters.
He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
