Fischler, Michael A.

Michael practices in the area of complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on representing small and large businesses, real estate developers and financial institutions.

Michael was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida for both undergraduate and law school (B.A., 2003 with honors and J.D., 2006). After law school, Michael honed his litigation skills as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. During his tenure, he handled dozens of criminal trials, including many jury trials as first chair counsel. Michael also handled several appellate matters for the State. Michael was quickly promoted to a training attorney position and was responsible for supervising a county court trial division at the State Attorney's Office.

Since leaving the State Attorney's Office, Michael has handled a number of commercial civil disputes as first chair counsel including matters involving commercial lines of credit, fraud, contract disputes, construction disputes, complex derivative claims, Section 558 building code violations, residential and commercial condominium warranties, partnership disputes, and other complex business claims. Michael has tried cases throughout Florida in both the general civil circuit division and the complex business division.

In law school, Michael was a visiting student at Florida International University College of Law and was fortunate enough to participate and compete as an inaugural member of FIU's Trial Team.
