Attorney Caroline Pearlmutter graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law. During law school, she earned a certificate in Tax Studies. She worked as a law student intern in the school's Low Income Tax Clinic, assisting taxpayers with a variety of tax issues at both the federal and state levels. Attorney Pearlmutter was also an executive editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal.
She received her bachelor's degree in English from the United States Naval Academy in 2002. Upon graduation from the Naval Academy, Attorney Pearlmutter was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy and served as a surface warfare officer, completing a deployment to the Persian Gulf aboard USS Gettysburg, a guided-missile cruiser. She was awarded two Navy Achievement Medals, one for her performance as the ship’s training officer and another for successfully leading a junior gunnery team through a multi-national naval surface fire support certification in Europe.
After she was honorably discharged from the Navy, Attorney Pearlmutter worked for a Fortune 500 national homebuilder in Northeast Florida in land development, completing due diligence, permitting, and entitlements for planned single-family and multi-family communities. She also oversaw the establishment and management of multiple homeowners' associations.
Attorney Pearlmutter has been working at Brown Paindiris & Scott since her first year of law school. She will now be working primarily in the firm's Family Law and Personal Injury departments, with additional duties in the areas of civil rights and medical malpractice.
