Devlin is a graduate of the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, where he completed the Regulatory Law Specialty Track of study. Prior to joining Sell & Melton, Devlin clerked for the Honorable Lamar W. Sizemore, Jr. and the Honorable Tilman E. Self III, of the Superior Courts of Georgia, Macon Judicial Circuit.
Devlin is a native of Milledgeville, Georgia, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Georgia College & State University in 2002. During Devlin's final semester at Georgia College, he interned for Attorney General Edwin Meese III in the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.
Devlin is an active member of the community. He volunteers as an Assistant Attorney Coach with the Baldwin High School Mock Trial Team. Additionally, Devlin is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Georgia College Alumni Association and serves as a member of the Executive Board of Central Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America, where he is an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the Order of the Arrow's national Distinguished Service Award and of the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service at the council level.
Devlin is happily married to his wife Ashley.
