Mr. Faro has over 40 years corporate and private practice experience in client counseling in intellectual property protection (patents, trademarks & copyrights), technology transfer and litigation; and, in the competent and aggressive representation of his intellectual property clients, in litigation matters, in State & Federal Courts, including Appellate practice.
Background & Work History
Mr. Faro was born in Boston, Massachusetts; and educated in the public schools (Boston Latin School). During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Faro was employed as a research assistant and histologist at the Harvard Medical School. While attending law school, Mr. Faro continued to work at the Harvard Medical School on a part-time basis.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Faro was a corporate attorney for 16 years, for a number of fortune 500 companies. His most recent corporate position (1981- 1986) was as Corporate Patent Counsel for the diagnostic products business center of American Hospital Supply Corporation, which located in Miami, Florida (merged into Baxter Health care in October 1985). Mr. Faro was also responsible for the patent estate of the endoscope manufacturer, American Cystoscope Makers in Stamford, Connecticut.
Prior to relocating to Florida in 1981, Mr. Faro has held comparable corporate patent attorney positions with E.I. du Pont de Nemours, (Wilmington, DE); Owens-Illinois Company (Toledo, OH); Xerox Corp.(Rochester, NY); B.F. Goodrich Company (Akron, OH)
Professional Licenses
Mr. Faro is admitted to practice and in good standing in both States of Massachusetts & in Florida; in the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Federal District Courts of Massachusetts, in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals for the 1st , 11th and Federal Circuit, and was Registered to Practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in 1971.
