Bob Fast was a member of WilmerHale's Litigation Department. He joined the firm in 1962 and retired in 2005.
Practice
Mr. Fast's litigation experience encompasses a wide range of areas, including construction, real estate, high technology, and major commercial matters. He was involved in major litigation involving the majority of high-rise buildings constructed in Boston.
Professional Activities
Mr. Fast is a member of the Steering Committee and chairman of the Construction Law Committee of the Boston Bar Association; a member of the Task Force on ABA Code of Professional Responsibility, the Ethics Committee and the Commission on Lawyer Professionalism of the Massachusetts Bar Association; and a member of the American Bar Association. He also serves on the American Arbitration Panel in the mediation and arbitration of large, complex cases.
Mr. Fast lectured for several years on various aspects of trial practice and civil litigation for the Harvard Law School Advocacy Program, the MIT Center for Real Estate, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, and the Flaschner Judicial Institute and bar associations. Additionally, Mr. Fast is a member of the Board of Directors of John Hancock Financial Services, and serves on that board's Ethics & Audit Committees.

Mr. Fast's charitable positions include serving as president of The Greyhound Project, Inc., and as a director and member of the Executive Committee of The Greater Boston Council of Boy Scouts of America.
