Mr. Engel is a 1979 honors graduate from the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Following graduation, he attended George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. During law school, Mr. Engel was a law clerk for the Federal Trade Commission, where he co-authored a law review article concerning the cable television industry. After graduating with honors in 1982, Mr. Engel returned to California and practiced with a firm handling a wide variety of complex business litigation before joining Conkle, Kremer & Engel. Mr. Engel's practice at Conkle, Kremer & Engel has involved many substantial business matters in the state and federal courts, including contract, fraud, insurance, professional liability, racketeering (RICO), real property, construction, securities, intellectual property and unfair competition claims. Mr. Engel is admitted to the practice of law in California and the District of Columbia.
