Emily Churg is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2009.
Past Experience
During law school, Ms. Churg was a research assistant for Professor Alan Brownstein, for whom she researched the constitutional treatment of religion among various countries.
In 2007, Ms. Churg completed an internship with the Natural Resources Defense Council in Santa Monica, California. She researched legal issues including associational standing, transportation conformity under the Clean Air Act, and the intersection of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Conservation and Liability Act. In the same year, Ms. Churg was a legal extern for the California Attorney General’s Office Public Rights division, where she researched numerous environmental law issues.
