Becky recently realized a childhood dream of becoming an attorney. During law school, Becky clerked for the Arizona Attorney General's Criminal Prosecution Unit and was a research assistant for the Dean of Academic Outcomes and an Associate Professor. She was elected Editor-in-Chief of the Phoenix Law Review, President of the Phoenix Law Women's Association, Vice-President of the Student Bar Association, and Vice-President of the Federalist Society. She was selected as 1st Place Barrister in the school's moot court competition, and competed in two national competitions- placing as a regional semi-finalist in both. Becky also studied one summer in Beijing, China, to gain first-hand knowledge of the Chinese political and legal systems.
Becky's previous professional experience includes community relations, non-profit fundraising, event planning, lobbying for education issues and health and human service issues, and owning her own consulting services business. She has worked with organizations such as the Cleveland Indians Baseball Company, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Cleveland Municipal School District, Cleveland Film Commission, and the National Conference for Community and Justice.
Becky and her husband have lived in California, Ohio, and Arizona and have called Gilbert “home” since 2004. She currently serves on the Mercy Gilbert Hospital Patient Advisory Committee and is a previous Board Member for the Light of Hearts Villa- a non-profit assisted living facility.
Becky has volunteered for the AZ College of Trial Lawyers, AZ State Bar Fee Arbitration Panel, Minority Law Day, National Moot Court competition, and participated in the Breast Cancer 3-DAY.
She enjoys domestic and international travel, gourmet cooking, action movies, reading mystery and history books, and all types of sports.
