Courtney Chavez focuses her practice on white-collar criminal defense and civil litigation involving quasi-criminal claims, and she has experience in both federal and state civil litigation. Her clients include corporations and individual defendants. Courtney was a member of the trial team representing former Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona and has represented clients facing various federal criminal charges, including RICO conspiracy, conspiracy, wire and mail fraud, and witness tampering. She also has advised corporations facing database breach issues and pre-indictment investigations.
In addition, Courtney volunteers her time at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice working with victims of domestic violence, where she has successfully represented her clients in their efforts to obtain permanent restraining orders against their abusers.
Courtney is a board member of the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, which seeks to promote diversity in the legal field.
