Stephen Duncan has been practicing criminal law in Arizona state and federal courts for more than 20 years. The first 10 years of his career were spent as a prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office and as a Deputy Attorney General for the Arizona Attorney General. At the Attorney General's office, his work included the Criminal Appeals division and the Organized Crime and Fraud Trial division.

Stephen Duncan entered private practice in 2001 to focus on criminal defense. He has defended clients in some of the largest homicide and drug prosecutions of the last decade in Arizona. He is also one of the few attorneys in Arizona certified by the Arizona Supreme Court to receive appellate appointments for capital murder cases.
