Kelly M. Douglas has extensive litigation experience, focusing primarily on premises liability, product liability, civil rights discrimination, and catastrophic injury/wrongful death cases. Prior to joining Pettit Kohn, Kelly obtained excellent results for her clients in jury trials and appeals as lead counsel. She has also successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal with favorable outcomes for her clients. Her primary focus is litigating and defending personal injury cases.
Kelly obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law in 2003. While earning her degree, Kelly maintained an academic scholarship and received several academic excellence awards. Kelly was also an officer of the Advocacy Honors Board, a coordinator for the Youth Court Program, and she studied constitutional rights with United States Supreme Court Justice Kennedy. Upon graduation, she was awarded for her significant and positive contributions to her law school.
Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego-Revelle College in 1999. She minored in Law and Society, with an area of focus in Literature.
Kelly is an active member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
