Lyle Ditmars is a partner of the Peters Law Firm. He joined the firm as an attorney in 1977 after graduating from the Creighton University School of Law. He "returned" to Creighton as an adjunct professor for several years teaching a class in Iowa Civil Procedure while continuing his full-time trial practice with the firm. He spends the great majority of his professional time doing trial work for a wide variety of clients. He is a member of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Iowa Defense Counsel Association (serving as a member of its Board of Directors for 7 years), and the Defense Research Institute. He is a member of the Iowa, Nebraska, and Pottawattamie Bar Associations. He has serced on the boards of many local charitable organizations and is currently on the board of the Council Bluffs Industrial Foundation. Current hobbies include helping with the family-owned orchard and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
