William A. DeVasher, Jr. holds two degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including its Wharton School of business and Penn Law. Formerly the general counsel of Barry Wright Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, and an associate with Sidley Austin (then Brown & Wood) in New York City, his primary areas of practice are in corporate law and commercial disputes. Recently, Mr. DeVasher has represented clients engaged in acquiring and divesting businesses valued as high as $50 million dollars; in organizing and financing new entities; and in prosecuting or defending contractual, environmental, employment and other business cases. Admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York, he is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and The Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
