Keith I. Braunfotel began his legal career at the Kings County District Attorneys office in Brooklyn, New York. After leaving the District Attorney's Office he began representing Police Unions, including the New York City Policemen's Benevolent Association and the Rockland County Patrolmen's Benevolent Association. During his tenure representing police unions he was able to provide legal assistance to members on various legal issues; including personal injury, workers' compensation, criminal defense, and real estate.
Mr. Braunfotel continues to make time for his community. Mr. Braunfotel is the Chairman of the Assigned Counsel Plan of Rockland County, which provides underprivileged people with legal assistance. He is a member of the New City Rotary Club and an Executive Committee Member of the American Heart Association. Mr. Braunfotel is also Deputy Counsel to the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority.
Mr. Braunfotel is member of the Rockland County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and The New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Braunfotel graduated from New York University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and International Business. He graduated from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1994 with a Juris Doctorate. He is admitted to practice in The State of New York including the Eastern and Southern Federal District Courts.
