For more than 20 years, Bob Geimer has successfully represented clients in serious injury and death cases involving medical malpractice, dangerous products and vehicle accidents. His verdicts and settlements are approaching $100 million, including a verdict of more than $30 million on behalf of a brain damaged baby in a medical malpractice case. In addition to Chicago and Cook County, Bob has tried jury cases in the Circuit Courts of DuPage, Kane, Lake, Winnebago and LaSalle Counties. He has also tried cases in federal courts in Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota.
Bob is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and former chair of the Trial Techniques Committee and division chair of the Civil Practice Committee. He has also served on the Judicial Evaluation Committee, and has testified before a Special Joint Committee of the Illinois Supreme Court on Civil Discovery Rules. As a member of the Birth Trauma Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice, Bob regularly meets with fellow birth trauma attorneys to stay on top of the latest developments in law and medicine. He is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and has lectured on topics such as successful deposition strategies and winning at trial.
A lifelong resident of the Chicago area, Bob is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago and the University of Illinois College of Law, where he served as an editor of the University of Illinois Law Review.
