William R. DeLoney was born in Dallas, Texas, on November 30, 1945. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas in 1971, and his Juris Doctor degree from Texas Wesleyan University Law School in 1995. Much of Mr. DeLoney's undergraduate and graduate work was in psychology and counseling. Mr. DeLoney holds a AV rating through Martindale-Hubbell and is licensed to practice law in all Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. DeLoney was employed as a Student Legal Research Instructor at Texas Wesleyan University from 1993-1994. He is an active member in good standing of the Dallas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, Bar Association of the Supreme Court of the United States, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the American Association for Justice, and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He also stays abreast of family law trends through his association with the Family Law Section of the Texas Bar and the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association. Mr. DeLoney is a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country in the Vietnam War from 1963-1966. He practices in the areas of debtor and creditor collections, family law, child custody, child support, divorce, spousal support, criminal law, driving while intoxicated, contracts, business law, wills, probate, and general civil litigation.
