Christopher D. DePalma was born and raised in East Haven, Connecticut. He graduated from Fairfield University in 1996 where he received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. In 1999 he received his law degree from the Quinnipiac College School of Law.
While in law school, Mr. DePalma was a member of the Mock Trial Honor Society and served as its vice-president from 1998-1999. In his final year of law school, Mr. DePalma competed in the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition. Arguing for the plaintiff in a hypothetical product liability case, Mr. DePalma's team won the Eastern Regional Championship with a perfect 4-0 record. His team advanced to the National Championship in New Orleans, Louisiana and placed in the top 10% of teams in the United States.
Before joining Kennedy Johnson D'Elia & Gillooly, Mr. DePalma was a clerk at the New Haven Superior Court.
His practice includes the representation of injured workers in all workers' compensation districts in the State of Connecticut. He has also successfully handled a number of workers' compensation appeals to the State of Connecticut Compensation Review Board. In addition to his workers’ compensation practice, Mr. DePalma represents injured persons in a variety of personal injury matters.
Mr. DePalma co-authored an article with Mr. D'Elia for the Connecticut Bar Association's Compensation Quarterly entitled "Who Should Bear The Responsibility In The Case Of The Uninsured Subcontractor Employer? The Issue Of Reconciling C.G.S. Section 31-291 and C.G.S. Section 31-355, 'Point'."
Mr. DePalma is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the New Haven County Bar Association.
He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in the State of Connecticut.
