Trial associate Dan Gebhardt utilizes his professional experience from several of the country’s most prestigious medical institutions to head the Firm’s practice in disability retirement for federal employees. Mr. Gebhardt also works in all aspects of the Firm’s litigation, including assisting with trials and complex mediations, negotiating settlements and preparing settlement agreements, participating in mediations before judges and other mediators, taking and defending depositions, advising clients, negotiating and drafting contracts, and preparing complaints, motions, oppositions to motions, appellate briefs, discovery requests and responses, and memoranda of law for cases in the federal courts and administrative agencies. Dan Gebhardt joined GEBHARDT & ASSOCIATES, LLP in 2003.
Before joining the Firm, Dan Gebhardt worked as a Judicial Intern for Chief Judge Haldane Robert Mayer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 1999. He has also worked for the Office of Legislative and International Affairs at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; the Altheimer & Gray law firm, Shanghai, China office; and the Trattner & Associates law firm in Washington, DC. Mr. Gebhardt is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and New Jersey. In 2001, he earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and an LL.M. from the University of Melbourne Law School in Australia. Mr. Gebhardt graduated with Honors from the University of Michigan in 1995 with a double major in biology and religious studies.
