DeMatteo, Christina M.

Christina DeMatteo joined Shemtob Law in 2012. A strong advocate for her clients, Ms. DeMatteo has been practicing family law in Montgomery County and the greater Philadelphia region since 1999. Ms. DeMatteo is experienced in all aspects of family law, including equitable distribution, alimony, support, custody and abuse matters. She is both an experienced litigator and negotiator, and enjoys working with clients to determine the best and most efficient means of resolution for their family law conflict.

Respected by her peers, Ms. DeMatteo served as Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Law Section in 2012 and is a past President of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court. Ms. DeMatteo has also been consistently chosen as a "Rising Star" by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine each consecutive year since 2007, and was named as one of the "Ten Leaders of Greater Philadelphia for Divorce Law - Ages 45 and Under" by the Ten Leaders Cooperative.

Ms. DeMatteo speaks and writes frequently on a number of family law topics. She is a frequent speaker on family law topics for Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Montgomery Bar Association. She has also authored numerous family law articles.

Ms. DeMatteo graduated cum laude from Villanova School of Law in 1998, and from the College of William and Mary in 1995, majoring in Economics. Following graduation from law school, Ms. DeMatteo served as Attorney Advisor to the Honorable Paul H. Teitler, Administrative Law Judge of the United States Department of Labor, for one year before entering private practice.

An active community leader, Ms. DeMatteo currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wissahickon Educational Opportunities Foundation and is a former member of the Board of Directors of Family Services of Montgomery County.

Ms. DeMatteo resides in Montgomery County with her husband and two children.
