JOHN (SHAWN) A. QUINN has concentrated on Workers' Compensation Defense Litigation for over thirty years and has been recognized as among the top five percent of the attorneys in the State of Michigan in his specialty each and every year since 2006. Shawn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Michigan in 1979 and his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1982.
Shawn is a member of the American Bar Association, Michigan Bar Association (workers' compensation section) and the Michigan Self-Insurers' Association. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Shawn has also been appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan.
A frequent lecturer in Michigan and Indiana Shawn has been a guest speaker for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Lorman Educational Services and many others.
Shawn has been a shareholder of Bleakley, Cypher, Parent, Warren & Quinn since its inception and is currently the president of the firm. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys summers, family time and serving on several committees for his church.
