Tim is a founding member of the firm who was born in Ainsworth, Iowa in 1957. Tim attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate studies and graduated with a B.A. degree in political science with honors and thesis in 1980. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma. He received his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1983. He was admitted to the Iowa State Bar Association in 1983 and Iowa U. S. District Court in 1983. He is presently the Des Moines County Bar Association President.
Tim published an article in the Iowa Agriculturalist entitled "How to Select an Attorney." He has taught several courses and seminars at Southeastern Community College and for financial planners on estate planning topics. He has served as president of the Burlington/West Burlington Chamber of Commerce from 1993 to 1994 and served on its governing board for several years. He also served on several boards for the First Congregational Church in Burlington from 1998 to the present. He currently serves on the finance committee of the National Association of Congregational Churches.
Tim's practice is a general practice including but not limited to the areas of estate planning, probate and estate administration, tax preparation, civil litigation and domestic law.
