Timothy E. Davis is a partner in the Business Department and a member of the Real Estate and Institutional Finance Group with over 20 years of experience representing financial institutions and investors. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Davis represents clients in a wide variety of real estate transactions, including mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, senior-subordinate participations, "B" notes and other co-lender and intercreditor arrangements. He is also currently involved in a number of complex workouts of defaulted loans and the acquisition and disposition of discounted or distressed real estate positions.
Mr. Davis is a frequent lecturer on the practical and legal issues surrounding workouts, defaults and bankruptcies for multi-tranche structures. He recently co-authored two White and Williams News Alerts titled "Forbearance Agreements and Waiving the Protections of Automatic Stay" and "Covered Bonds, Final Policy Statement from the FDIC."
Mr. Davis received his B.A., magna cum laude with distinction, in 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received his M.A. in 1986. He received his J.D. in 1989 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
