David R. Dautrich has thirty years of experience working within the legal system, including twenty-three years in the private practice of law. After working his way through law school as a police patrol officer, he accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney in Berks County. At the same time, he entered into the private practice of law part time. After the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Dautrich took a position as an Assistant Public Defender in Berks County.
Following his terms of public service, Mr. Dautrich concentrated on building a strong general law practice serving the community's needs in civil and criminal law covering areas of the law including: personal injury, criminal defense, family law, real estate, workers compensation, wills, estates and much more. Over the past twenty-three years, David has participated in thousands of civil and criminal hearings throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. He has personally handled over 200 jury trials. As a prosecutor, he handled approximately a dozen homicide trials, and he has been chief defense counsel in several murder trials. In total, David has participated in the investigation and handling of nearly 100 death cases, either through prosecution, defense, or representing a plaintiff in a civil matter. David has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in personal injury and workers compensation cases.
David keeps abreast of the ever changing laws and Supreme Court decisions through Continuing Legal Education Seminars as well as Conferences and literature provided to him through various associations and legal publications to which he subscribes.
