Harvey Oliver: Harvey was born and raised in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He studied at Northern State University, Indiana State University, Hamlin University, and the University of South Dakota receiving both undergraduate and graduate degrees. He attended law school at the University of South Dakota, receiving his law degree from that institution in 1981. After serving as law clerk for the Honorable Philo Hall, Presiding Judge, Fifth Judicial Circuit, he began his private practice. Harvey has served as a special assistant attorney general and has served as Brown County States Attorney from 1993 to 2000. Harvey is a member of the Brown County Bar Association, State Bar of South Dakota, State Bar of North Dakota, Minnesota Bar Association, State Bar of Minnesota, and the Electric Cooperative Bar Association. Harvey is admitted to practice law in the states of South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, the Federal District Courts of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal Tax Court.
