Ms. Friedman has been in practice for twenty-eight years. She practices in the District of Columbia, and in both Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, Maryland.
In October 1995, Ms. Friedman was named one of Washington’s "Top Forty" divorce lawyers by Washingtonian Magazine. Ms. Friedman has extensive experience in domestic relations, particularly in matters relating to employees and spouses of employees of international organizations, including The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Ms. Friedman presently serves as an Alternative Dispute Facilitator for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program, as well as for the Montgomery County Circuit Court. Ms. Friedman is also a trained mediator.
Ms. Friedman has served as an instructor in the Nuts and Bolts of Divorce, Continuing Legal Education Course, Georgetown University Law Center, 1992, and as a delegate to the District of Columbia Judicial Conference, 1984–1999.
Ms. Friedman currently volunteers for the Montgomery County Commission for Women and responds to telephone inquiries regarding divorce and custody matters. She also serves as a mentor for the D.C. Bar PSAC Advice and Referral Clinic.
