Rich Avil focuses on regulatory counseling and administrative and appellate litigation for natural gas pipelines, local distribution companies, and electric utilities. He helps develop and present industrywide positions on critical energy rulemaking matters and policy inquiries.

Rich's recent representations for clients such as CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission Company, Mississippi River Transmission Corporation, and various subsidiaries of SCANA Corporation involved regulatory compliance and enforcement considerations, commercial and contracting activities, and construction planning and authorization. Additional client matters include innovative new service and rate offerings, as well as attention to the regulatory components of energy industry transactions.
