Jason W. Pohren was born in Burlington, Iowa, and raised in Keokuk, Iowa. He worked five years as a pipefitter in Keokuk before entering college at Western Illinois University. He graduated Western Illinois University in 2002 majoring in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration and Sociology.
After graduation, he took a position as a police officer in Hamilton, Illinois. During his tenure at the Hamilton Police Department, he was awarded a lifesaving medal and the Investigation Commendation Bar by the Hamilton Police Department. In addition, he was also awarded the "Top Cop" award for alcohol-related arrests by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM). After four years in police work, he entered Southern Illinois University School of Law where he earned top honors and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007.
As a law student, he clerked for the Honorable Lloyd A. Karmeier, a Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court. He also worked in the university's ombudsman office where he wrote criminal appeals for students who got into trouble on campus. He was admitted to the bar in early 2008 and began his employment with the Hausmann-McNally in April 2008.
Attorney Pohren is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, and Ohio. He is a member of various bar associations and an active member in the legal community. Attorney Pohren has successfully tried over 75 cases by jury trial, arbitration and/or mediation.
Currently, he works with clients who have been injured in automobile, motorcycle and truck accidents, helping them recover damages for their loss and injuries.
Attorney Pohren and his son, Juris, reside in Roscoe, Illinois.
