Mark Pitchford joined the firm as an Associate in 2011, having previously served as an Associate at Armstrong Teasdale in St. Louis. Mr. Pitchford's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S., foreign and international patent applications in the electrical, software, and mechanical arts. Mr. Pitchford is particularly experienced with electronic circuits, mechanical system controllers, networking and communications systems, communications protocols, client server interactions, and user interfaces as they relate to medical devices, consumer devices, heavy equipment, railroad equipment, communications equipment and general purpose computers. In addition to handling patents, Mr. Pitchford advises in the licensing of trademarks and copyrights, intellectual property portfolio management, and due diligence. His practice also includes appealing USPTO actions to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences as well as preparing claim construction briefs for Markman hearings.
